Description
The strange looking Rambutan fruit, a native of Southeast Asia, grows in tropical climates all over the world. It is also one of the top three tropical fruits produced in Hawaii. Rambut is the Malay word for "hair". The outer shell has a soft, hairy texture, while the pearl-like flesh is translucent, whitish or very pale pink, with a sweet, mildly acidic flavor very reminiscent of grapes.

Thank you Marija for your comment, this is a very strange looking fruit, similar to a lychee.
