Description
While strolling through my garden with my camera, I observed a green dragon (American chameleon) kickin' back on a heliconia enjoying a beautiful day here in Hawaii.
"Kickin' back" is a verb meaning to relax, typically by reclining and/or engaging in a sedentary activity.

Great macro of this guy, James! Love the title - that is exactly what these mo'o do! l/f
James Temple replied:
Mahalo Heidi, I just looked up "mo'o" online. It seems that a mo'o is the Hawaiian word for dragons and lizards and figure into the oldest Hawaiian stories and are a key to a deep, nearly forgotten magic. It also said that most mo'o of legend are not male, but female, shapeshifters capable of appearing as beautiful maidens or water dragons. Cool! I prefer beautiful maidens kickin' back!
