This beautiful waxy Pink Torch Ginger flower almost takes your breath away. The Torch Ginger comes in several colors; Pink, Red and White. In Hawaiian it is called Awapuhi-ko 'oko' o. This showy pink flower is used in decorative arrangements while the flower buds are edible and are included in certain Southeast Asian dishes. It is also known as Laksa Flower. There're other names for it as well such as Sceptre of the Emperor, Rose de porcelaine, Torch Lily and Philippine Waxflower.
