Description
This is my photograph of the beautiful bark of a lemon-scented gum tree.
I have several of these huge trees growing in my yard, here in Hawaii, that are over 100 feet tall. Various parts of the lemon-scented gum, such as the bark, leaves and wood have a useful purpose. The leaves emit a lemon-scented citronella that is commonly used in perfumery and as an essential oil. This makes my whole yard smell like paradise.

You got it Denise, they are one of the reasons I bought my 3/4 acre lot. Messy trees unfortunately, but beautiful. James

Lucky you! Love the "abstractions" l/f
James Temple replied:
The bark is peeling off now, leaving a multi-colored graphic appearance. Unfortunately I have to rake it up. Thanks for your comment Claudia.
