James, this looks so succulent!! Thanks for the description and sharing recipes through your blog. I definately would love to try this healthy turkey dish. Great shot. Beautiful color and lighting. Yum yum!! L.

James Temple replied:

Aloha Emmy, and thanks for the comment. This recipe is a good way to insure that you end up with a juicy turkey leg because it is braised instead of roasted. Definitely a keeper recipe, I hope you try it.

Artist's Description

Juicy, falling off the bone turkey is such a delicious thing to eat, but unfortunately it seems that we always just serve it during the holidays in this country. This is probably because a turkey with all of the trimmings takes all day to cook, and most people don't have that kind of time. However their is a solution, braising turkey legs. They are one of the best buys in the grocery store. For this recipe and hundreds of other tropical recipes, visit my food blog at tastinghawaii.com

Since then I designed and built a house, worked in local restaurants, self-published three cookbooks, and took up photography as a hobby. Now retired, I spend most of my time developing recipes and photographing them, plus researching and writing...
