Description
Bauhinia monandra, or pink orchid trees, as they are commonly called, are medium to large ornamental flowering trees from subtropical and tropical regions. This pink orchid tree is loaded with beautiful pink flowers, however their are other species of bauhinia that have different colored flowers of red, purple, yellow, and white. I grew this tree from seed that I gathered 10 years ago here on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i.
