Description
The warm sun of Hawaii is perfect for growing avocados. August is the height of the avocado season here. For example, today I picked three hundred from my small orchard of 16 trees. My wife and I sell them to local restaurants, grocery stores, and at our local Saturday morning farmers market here on Molokai. These huge beauties retail for just $1.50 each. Hawaiian avocados are not exported to the mainland because of the fruit fly here, why I don't know because they don't bother my fruit, and they are much better than the avocados on the mainland. Oh well... more for us!
